Vernon I Shibata OD

Dr. Shibata is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in routine and problem-focused eye examinations, pediatric eye care, urgent eye care, and pre- and post-operative examinations. Dr. Shibata was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and his doctor of optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton.  Dr. Shibata opened his private practice in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1977 and has enjoyed getting to know generations of families throughout the years. 

Dr. Shibata is licensed for the practice of optometry by the state examining board of Hawaii. He is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  He previously served as treasurer of the HOA board of directors and as a member for the VSP Hawaii board. 

Dr. Shibata enjoys spending time with his family, UH Football, and watching his son play for the United States Naval Academy.
